Useful information

It is our pleasure to provide you with some useful information on our hotel to make your stay with us a memorable one. We wish you a pleasant stay!

Check-in / check-out


The hotel room can be occupied from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. Please leave your room
before 10 a.m. on the day of your departure. On the day of departure, there is a possibility to
extend your stay for a fee (room use until 18:00). The late check-out depends on the number
of bookings in our hotel on that day, and requires prior arrangement with the Reception.
Important information about our hotel can be found on the following pages in
alphabetical order.

Adapter


In case you do not own a European standard AC connector on the electric device you would
like to operate in your room, please ask for an adapter at the reception desk. Please keep in
mind, we have a 230V/50Hz AC electric system. If you need further help, please ask the
receptionists.

Air conditioning


Every hotel room has air conditioning. In the modern Wing Lily, there is a wall heating-cooling
system without direct blown air. Rooms in the other buildings are equipped with traditional air
conditioning machines. If you are using the air conditioning, please keep the doors and windows
closed. In case you have any questions about the operation of the systems, please contact the
reception desk.

ATM, cash machine


In Simontornya there are 2 cash machines. They operate 24/7 and are located in the city centre
and next to the medical service building.

Bathrobes


The use of the bathrobes is free of charge. We change them upon request, but to protect our
environment we ask our dear guests to ask for replacement only when necessary. Please, bring
the bathrobes back to your room, because after check-out the rooms are being checked. If there
is a deficiency, the hotel reserves the right to request compensation for the absence.

Bed linen


We change bed linens every three days. If you would like to have them changed more often,
please contact the reception. The additional linen changes are provided for an extra charge. If
you need extra blankets or pillows, please contact our receptionists; you can also request an
anti-allergenic pillow at the reception desk.

Breakfast


The room rate includes the buffet breakfast, which is served from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Please
indicate your special dietary requirements (gluten-free, lactose-free, sugar-free) to the receptions
upon your arrival.

Child bed, cradle


Child bed or cradle can be requested at the reception desk.

Cleaning


Daily cleaning is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you do not wish to be disturbed at the given time or
do not wish your room to be cleaned on the day, please let us know by hanging the ‘Do not
disturb’ sign on the door. If you need extra cleaning, please contact the reception. There is an
extra charge for additional cleaning.

Conference (event) rooms


Our hotel has air-conditioned function rooms of different sizes. Our conference (event) rooms
can be used for a fee, for further details contact the reception.

Compensation


Our hotel has liability insurance but does not accept any liability for accidents and damages
caused that are not attributable to the hotel, and excludes its liability for damages for items that
were left unattended. Our hotel reserves its right to claim reimbursement from the person who
caused the damages.

„Do not disturb” sign


If you do not wish to be disturbed in your room, please hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign on
the handle of the room door.

Electricity


If your room is located in the Wing Lily, please insert the magnetic key card you received at the
reception desk into the slot next to the room entrance, which will activate the electric network.
The electric current is 230 V / 50 Hz according to European standards.

Electrical devices


It is forbidden to use electrical devices (e.g. coffee maker, water heater, iron, etc.) in the hotel
room, which may cause a fire or short circuit. With ironing requests please contact the hotel
reception.

Fax, photocopy


Fax and photocopy services are available daily 0-24 hours at the reception desk.

Fire alarm


All rooms of our hotel are equipped with a fire alarm system, which detects even the slightest
smoke. To avoid false alarms, smoking and the use of open flames are strictly forbidden. In
case of fire, guests are alerted by a siren and are requested to leave the hotel as soon as possible
through the nearest emergency exit. The escape route is shown on a map on the inside of the
room door. In case of fire do not use the elevator.

Hairdryer


Each room of our hotel is equipped with a hairdryer.

Internet and WiFi


One PC is available for web browsing on the first floor of the Castle building. It can be used
free of charge. Free WiFi is also available in the whole hotel. The name of the WiFi network is
„Fried WiFi Hotspot” and works without a password.

Laundry, ironing


We have washing and ironing services for individual needs. The price list and laundry bag can
be found in the wardrobe. The hotel is not responsible for any problems that might result from
the washing.

Leisure time


Our hotel provides many leisure time activities. The detailed information can be found at the
end of this room information catalogue.

Lost and found


We kindly ask our guests to hand down any found object at the reception desk. The found
items will be stored by the Fried Castle Hotel for two weeks from the date of their
receipt. If the owner does not show up during this time, the reception can remove the found
items from the property. The Fried Castle Hotel does not take any responsibility for lost
or abandoned items.

Luggage porterage


Our luggage delivery service is available free of charge, for further assistance and information,
please contact the reception.

Luggage room


Before check-in and after check-out, you can store your luggage at the hotel reception. The
Fried Castle Hotel is not responsible for the package and the values contained in it.
Items that were handed over for safekeeping will be stored by the reception on that day. If the
owner does not return for them, our hotel will store the packages for another two weeks. If the
owner does not show up during this time, the reception can remove the items from the
property.

Massage


Our guests can choose from a wide range of massages. Our trained masseuses will help you
choose the right type of massage for you. More information can be found at the end of the
room information book. For making an appointment, please contact the Reception!

Minibar


There is a minibar allocated in every room. It is restocked daily, and the consumption is charged
on the room bill each day. You can find the price list next to the minibar.

Parking facilities


Our guests can use the free unguarded car parks of our hotel free of charge. The hotel is not
responsible for the cars, and items left in them.

Payment methods


Our hotel accepts HUF and Euros in cash, and VISA, MasterCard, American Express,
UnionPay bank cards; furthermore OTP, K&H and MKB SZÉP cards, and
Edenred vouchers.

Pets


Our hotel is pet friendly, however, please follow the general rules and regulations for staying at
our hotel with a pet. Please, do not bring pets to the catering, spa areas, and please contact the
reception if you need extra cleaning during your stay. We charge additional fees for pets staying
at our hotel.

Playground and play corner


There is a play corner dedicated to small children. This corner is located on the first floor of
the Wing Lily and it is free to use. There is also a children’s playground in the castle park.
Children can use the playground under parental supervision and responsibility.

Privacy Policy


Our hotel has a privacy policy and data protection policy. If you want to get to know the
regulations, you can find them in printed form at the reception or in electronic form on the
friedhotel.hu website.

Room service


You can order meals directly to your room, during the opening hours of our restaurant. We
charge 20% of the value of the order for this service. The price list of the available meals can
be found at the end of the room information book. You can place your orders by calling the
number 100.

Safe, valuables


Please note that our hotel is not responsible for valuables left in the rooms. We recommend
that you close the windows when leaving your room. The room safe offers a secure solution
for protecting smaller valuables, you can also place your larger valuables in the central safe at
the reception. Instructions for using the room safe can be found on the side of the safe.

Safety regulations


For your safety please keep to the hotel fire policy and house rules. In case of fire, guests are
alerted by a siren and are requested to leave the hotel as soon as possible through the nearest
emergency exit by following the escape route shown on the inside of each room door. In case
of fire do not use the elevator.

Shoe cleaning


Our shoeshine machine is located at the main entrance of our hotel which can be used free of
charge. We also place shoe cleaning strips in every room.

Slippers


Our hotel can provide disposable slippers for a fee.

Smoking


Smoking is not allowed inside the hotel, please only smoke in the designated areas outside the
building.

Technical problems


If you find any technical problems in the hotel area, especially in your room, please inform the
reception.

Telephone


Telephone calls within the hotel are free, you can call the other hotel rooms by dialing "1" and
then the room number. You can also make direct domestic calls from the rooms for an extra
charge, to dial an outside line first enter the number "9".

Television, radio


The list of channels is on the table in front of the television. In case of any technical problems
please contact the reception. You can listen to music/radio on the television device as well.

Towels


We change the white towels and the blue sauna towels as you request, but to protect our
environment we kindly ask our guests to only ask for a replacement when necessary. Please
bring the white towels and the blue sauna towels back to your room, because we check the
rooms after check-out. If there is an absence the hotel reserves the right to request
compensation for the deficiency.

Transfer


For our hotel guests we provide a free transfer between the Simontornya railway station or bus
station and the hotel. To use the service a prior consultation is required with the reception.
Out-of-town transfers are possible for a fee by individual arrangement.

Wake up service


Wake up service can be set up on the room television with the remote control or you can call
the reception desk to arrange a wake-up call.

Wellness-fitness center


Our Wellness and Fitness center welcomes the hotel guests all year round with a heated
swimming pool and plunge bath. The services involve a Finnish sauna, aromatherapy sauna,
infrared sauna, steam chamber, and aroma tepidarium. On the first floor you can find the gym.
In the summer months the wellness facilities are supplemented with an outdoor swimming
pool, slide, jacuzzi, and a sun terrace.

Wine tasting, wine shopping, vineyard


The vineyards on the hillside which belong to the Castle provide a pleasant walk and hiking
routes for the lovers of nature. Our guests can taste and buy our own Castle wines which have
been produced by traditional methods for more than 100 years. You can find more information
about wine tasting and purchase at the end of the room information book.
